    Great places to find food

There will be plenty of great food inside the Festival, from New Orleans Cajun and Creole, to barbecue, and other delights. Beer, wine and cocktails are available, as well as coffee, fruit juices and ice cream.
Before or after, enjoy a multitude of great dining experiences throughout the Bay Area, world renowned for its cuisine.
Nearby Chestnut Street offers a multi-ethnic variety of restaurants, cafes and coffeehouses.
North Beach and Chinatown are within a mile and offer the gamut of dining choices from Asian, Italian, French, Continental, even Basque.

Other neighborhoods with an array of restaurants include:

  • Upper Fillmore St.
  • Clement St.
  • Geary Blvd.
  • Haight St.
  • Hayes Valley
  • South of Market (SOMA) area
  • Potrero Hill
  • 16th & Valencia Sts.
  • Noe Valley

Staying outside of San Francisco? The choices continue.
In the East Bay, great eating establishments abound on Solano Ave., Fourth St., Shattuck Ave., and University Ave. (Berkeley); College, Piedmont and Grand Avenues (Oakland); and further east in Walnut Creek, Lafayette and Danville.

South of San Francisco, the Peninsula is loaded with new and long-standing restaurants. Palo Alto has seen an explosion of restaurants open, and many more can be found in Menlo Park, San Mateo, Burlingame, and Woodside.

Across the Golden Gate Bridge, you can find an array of dining choices in Marin County in Sausalito, Mill Valley, Corte Madera, Larkspur, San Anselmo and San Rafael.
